great product! Mar 30, 2009

This is a great little FM transmitter. As with most devices like this, you have to play around with the frequencies to find the best one for your location and your car. I've been using it with a 4GB SD card because I am one of the few people left on the planet that do not own an iPod. Works great with the SD card, but the only drawback is that I can't figure out how to play the songs on random (as my iTunes, or I suppose and iPod, would do) - instead it's been making its way through the ~900 songs on the SD card alphabetically, which I guess is fine too.

It works great ! Oct 24, 2008

Before getting this FM Modulator, I tried several others and was dissapointed. This unit worked right out of the package and it works great. I use it in my car, on my boat and at home ( I obtained another manufacturer's 12 volt supply to plug into household 110vac).
I did learn that MP3s stored directly on storage media have to be equalized. This should be a normal part of the ripping process that creates MP3s anyway. When the MP3 levels are too high, my car radio has a garbled audio sound. I think it's because of the close proximity of the unit( plugged into the lighter socket) and the radio and antenna. Equalizing the levels of the MP3s stored on my USB stick fixed this issue. I did not have this issue on the boat or house. Again, I think it's because the unit is a lot further away from the radio receiving the signal.

quit workin Mar 13, 2012
By R. Smith This product was never real good, the sound was poor, it blew fuses, then stopped all together after two weeks. I have bought several of these because I like the simple design and easy operation.

FM Mp3 transmitter works great for me Jul 30, 2010
By ag_pob My original Mach Speed transmitter purchase from 2008 still works wonderfully. Some vehicles this item gives poor results, but in my 2005 Vibe it is great. I get clean highs and full bass. In my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 van it sometimes crackles in the treble. My old Mach Speed has a click type SD card capture lock, this unit is a simple slide in friction held slot. If you live in the sticks with empty FM space at 89.7 (that's where this unit performs best), this blasts every other option out of the water. No stinkin' cords to a stinkin' Ipod or 'aux inputs'.(my Concord cassette deck from 1985-that's 1 9 8 5- has an 'aux input'so whats the big deal with an 'aux input here in 2010!!!) And you can grab and go to ANY vehicle that has a 'cigarette lighter' and an FM radio in a second & have days worth of tunes on a couple cards or usb drives. It does not get any easier or simpler than this, and if your radio accepts the signal cleanly - it doesn't get any cheaper than this...If these items were made by a real high tech manufacturer with 1st quality parts and labor it would 'destroy' ANY other portable automotive audio device.
