love it Nov 11, 2009

This product is awesome! It's light but durable. I love that it connects directly to my usb port...no cords to deal with. I love the ease of dragging and dropping my music. That saves a few steps. I like that it can function as both my mp3 player and my flash drive. Now if I find myself at the library, I know I'll have my flash drive on hand if I need it. It's also pretty user friendly once you get the hang of it. I really like this for the most part. The part I don't like is that it makes these noises when the music is stopped or just quiet. It sounds like I can hear the inner workings. That's pretty much my only complaint though.
p.s. the headphones that came with it are awesome too. I have really small ears and they fit them just fine.

Painful! May 05, 2010

This is a very bad MP3 player. The instruction do not exist and it is painfully easy to erase the files. I've had to reformat it 5 times in a month and a half. There is no option to shuffle. I contacted Visual Land to see if there was a way to do it, but there is not.
Yes, it is compact and is easily portable. You use it as you would a memory stick with no cords. The cons far out weigh this.

Broke within 6 months Jun 27, 2010
By Damon Overall this is a very poorly made product. I bought this within the last year and it is already broken. Furthermore, the sound quality on the recordings is terrible. It is hard to use and does not have playlist functions. It's only saving grace is that it is easy to load and unload songs via the file system.

Really Well Designed! Apr 17, 2010
By J. Hollembeak This is a great little MP3 player and has a surprising heft to it. I wanted something I could use in the garden and while mowing and this fits the bill. The earphones, as previously noted, are of great quality (my wife paid $10 for the same style a few weeks ago) and noise reducing - I can barely hear the lawnmower while wearing them.
I'm an older adult and not very tech savvy - I have no problems using this device - a few things took a little getting used to; I can't operate the average smart phone, but I can use this MP3 player :) Adding files is very simple and loading them to play is even simpler.
FM Radio is great and voice recordings are clear and easy to make. You can customize the backlight color with a range of choices to suit your taste.
My only real complaint is on the charger. It works great, but there is no distinguishing an uncharged unit and a charged unit when it is on the charger - there are two lights on the charger, but they don't seem to change based on charge. You also have to MAKE SURE that you turn the unit ON when you go to charge it or it does nothing at all.
The MANUAL is included on the device itself, in the DATA folder, as a PDF (very eco-friendly, IMO) that you can read on your computer or print for later reference - but honestly, I've yet to read it and my wife has used the player and didn't need it either.
I liked this well enough that when a friend who is helping me with my landscaping asked about it, I ordered him one of his own as a small "thank you". So I definitely would recommend this to a friend...
Works now as a USB drive Jan 06, 2011
By physics girl I wanted a super simple MP3 player that I could plug in the computer and not have to worry about having a cord with me. It is a super simple MP3 player that I can plug into the computer. The problem comes in with the user interface. I used this mainly for podcasts and when you just turn off the device with the button on the bottom, your place within the hour long podcast is lost when turned back on again. But if the podcast (or music for that matter) is paused and the device is allowed to turn off by itself (about a minute later), then your place is saved. Trying to navigate to other folders within the UI was really annoying. I did not notice a problem with battery life and it is small enough to carry around easily.
I killed the circuit for music output by using my big driven headphones, so now I can use this as a SLOW USB drive.
