Videos and movie files can be seamlessly converted from your computer and placed onto your Visual Land Player and you'll have portable video entertainment at your demand no matter where you're at. Along with the video features, this player still includes all the features you've come to expect from Visual Land. MP3 and WMA audio files are accurately reproduced thanks to the player's built-in-sound equalizer then through the supplied high quality stereo headphones or built-in speaker. If you're not in the mood for watching a video or listening to your audio files, you can always tune into your local FM radio station, with the built-in FM tuner, and scan the stations for news or traffic reports at your convenience. SKIP IT Oct 27, 2009
By del n i purchased a 4gb version of this imitation ipod (not sure of the brand, but hardware identicial to the picture shown here) from microcenter for about $30. my expectations were not high; i just want to avoid the ipod/itunes hegemony.
PROS: looks like an ipod nano. when it worked, sound quality was not terrible. CONS: -after about 2 weeks, stopped working. would go to hourglass and keep rebooting. -when it was working, would play less than 1 hour before getting stuck or rebooting. -unintuitive & clumsy 'navigation' (to go up or down in the menu, you press the left or right buttons. to select an item, you press the 'menu' button). you can't shuffle between songs in different folders.

I'll try to be optimistic Feb 24, 2010

"furious mind"
My girlfriend gave me one of these for christmas... So I didn't buy it, but if I had, I would have taken it back for a refund within a week...
My unit like to shut off within 2 minutes of being turned on, everytime... it does stay on on the 2nd boot... i've noticed that after a few days the player didn't want to change music files easily, and gets stuck on certain entries... backing out of a file is a calulation, pressing the advance buton right before the menu comes up or it wont let you scroll thu the saved media...
The sound quality isn't bad, and the battery life is good, other then that, it's a piece of junk thats diffucult to use, and grugingly will load the file you want to play... operating instructions are vauge, and faq's at the visual land site is nothing more then a waste of a static ip...
I consider this an example of the quality of the types of products the visual land company makes... I'd purchase this brand only as a gift for someone I didn't like...
most truly, j. grant

good price/value! Apr 29, 2010
By W. Li I just bought the 8GB one.It is very slim and light. So far it is working very well. However, the screen is not very clear, but considering the $45 price, it is a very good mp3.
