Really Nice Player Jan 31, 2009
By R. Hunter This item arrived well packaged, super fast and fully charged! It came in a hard plastic box with instructions, headphones, extra ear buds, usb cord, wall charger, and velvet pouch.
Pros: 1. Screen is very clear, bright and big enough to watch a movie or view pictures comfortably. 2. Did not have to convert music or movies. Just copied them over and they played perfectly. It didn't take long at all and it let me copy several files from different folders/formats simultaneously without freezing up. 3. Player seems sturdy enough to withstand being in a purse, book bag, or briefcase. 4. Battery charge lasts long enough to watch at least 2 movies, so 3 1/2 or 4 hours (I turned it off after that so I can't say how many more could be watched before it needs recharging). 5. Accepted and read a 4gb micro SD with no problem. 6. Got great reception from the fm radio and it auto-set the stations. Equalizer is awesome.
Cons: 1. Screen is not anti-glare, if you are in a bright room or outside you will need to adjust the lighting levels of the player. 2. Had a hard time removing folders that the player created for files I added, but it did let me delete the contents of the folder. (Could be simple user error) 3. USB cord is really short. 4. Speaker volume is really low, but headphone volume is great. 5. The ad says that it has a 2 mega pixel camera, but it has NO CAMERA!
I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS PLAYER 5 STARS, BUT IT SAYS IT COMES WITH A CAMERA AND IT DOES NOT HAVE A CAMERA!
Overall it is a really nice and easy to use player. I'm keeping it and satisfied with the price and with what it does. I didn't need to take pictures with it, so no big deal on the camera portion.

Had to return within a week Mar 24, 2009
By J. Lee After about a week of normal use the thing wouldn't power on. I could plug it in to the computer and transfer files but that's about it, when I tried to play it wouldn't do anything, when I hold power on it won't turn on. Had to return it at least Amazon is good on returns and provide shipping and everything.
Also the speaker on the back is about useless, can barely hear anything. The only reason I got this one was because it had more memory and allowed multiple formats. Instead now I got the Pro Ebiz 16gb one Pro Ebiz NEW 16gb 3" TFT Touchscreen Mp3 / Mp4 / Mp5 Player (Plays Avi/rm/rmvb/flv Without Conversion) it's same price 16gb, and larger screen, oh and the speaker on the back is 3x louder (but still nothing to brag about, at least I can actually use it in a quiet room), seems like same manufacturer of both devices but only time will tell if this one breaks down too.
Although I returned this item thought it would be worth mentioning, comparing this to the touch screen versions of these devices of the same manufacturer, the visual/screen brightness is considerably different between the two. Touch screen versions are much darker/lower brightness. So there's the tradeoff, I have the touchscreen but if I had to do it over I would choose a non touchscreen as this is no iPod touch and you could do w/o it.

Bad Player. Worse Customer Service. May 30, 2009

Excellent MP4 Player Feb 14, 2010
By R. Davis This player is simply awesome if your looking for a small video and MP3 player. This player doesn't have any games, so if you are looking for that you'd be better off looking elsewhere. However, if you want a simple to use MP3 and portable video player, this could very well be your answer. By simply hooking the device to your computers USB port and dragging the proper video and music files over to the player is all you have to do.
The screen resolution is excellent for such a small device. In the video mode you have an option to switch between 16:9 widescreen and standard. This is a really nice option. As for sound quality, I find it to be quite excellent. I'm no audiophile, but I've had some MP3 players that you can hear buffer noise between files. I've picked up no noise from this player.
I've read some reviews where they had trouble with the buttons on top. I found them to be easy to use and master in a couple of minutes. This is no touch screen player and you do have to use the top buttons to transverse the player options. But since this is not a touch screen, there is no cloudiness over the screen itself making for a better picture.
Overall, this is a very light weight high quality player.
