Open with Caution Jan 02, 2007

Received this stereo for Christmas and just set it up yesterday. So far I'm quite pleased with the system. One important note though should you buy this unit. The packaging sucks. BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN OPENING THE BOX. If you cut through the tape on the top flaps, as 90% of folks would, you could quite likely slash a gash right down the center of the remote. If TEAC had used an additional thin piece of cardboard on the top of the styrofoam or just placed the remote to one side of the center of the box it wouldn't have been a problem, but they didn't.
One other small thing, with such thin speakers that are easily mounted to a wall they should have designed them with the lower foot area being removable. The speakers are only about an inch thick but they are nearly three inches off the wall when mounted to account of the stand portion beneath the actual speaker.

Great all around. No real complaints. Jan 04, 2007
By J. Campbell We've had this about 2 months and use it every day. It's the main stereo in our home.
The iPod dock is a very nice feature, and we just keep our iPod in it all the time now except when we go out since it charges it too. It's also nice to find an iPod stereo that plays AM as well as FM (most just play FM for some reason). The CD door slides open upwards, wich is cool to see. However, if you have a shelf right above it then obviously it can't open (as we do--but we've never used it since all of our CDs are already in iTunes since Playlists are far more flexible and convenient than individual CDs).
My only mild complaint is that the remote buttons are small and not as easy to click as your typial TV remote, and the remote has to be pointed pretty accurately at the stereo to work. Pointing in the general direction and clicking only works half the time.
Sound quality is great to me. Sounds pretty much like your typical stereo.

Great features but incompatible with new nano Oct 06, 2006
By Richard D. Katz A great design with many neat features. The sound is above average and the supplied antenna's for AM & FM work well. The wall mount system is okay but the unit does move around a little when you install CD's. It needs a more secure mounting to the wall mount bracket. The main problem is that the dock doesn't work with the newest iPod nano. Even with the supplied adapters it does not fit.

Good Stereo work well with Ipod Mar 10, 2008

I recently purchased this for my office. I wanted a small system with good sound that I can hook my ipod to. The system has good sound quality for its size. It is very easy to hook up. The only issue I find with it is that you need to point the remote directly at the stereo in order for it to work. This does not seem to be a problem for me as the stereo is in direct eye site of my desk about 30 feet away. The remote does allow you to work all the features of the ipod many other systems only allow basic functions. I am impressed with the sound quality and it provides plenty of volume to fill my office with music which is aprox. 700 sqft. One of the best stereo's I could find for the price, that included the features I required. "I purchased at Costco was less expensive." I would purchase this product again.

Great with one flaw Jul 08, 2007
By Roynan I just bought this system. The sound is really great, and I love that it plays cds as well as the ipod and radio. The one problem I keep having with mine is that the cables arnt fitting well into the plugs, so that if I slightly adjust the position of a speaker or the main unit I lose power to some part of the system and have to check all connections and push them back into the plugs. I almost took it back to the store because of this, but I hate to do that because the sound is so good and everything else about it is ideal.
