got a pair at big lots for ten bucks Oct 05, 2007
By Tark Mwain As mentioned in other reviews, yes, the chord is very short. Nice that it is a retractable, a whole 3 feet or so.
My title explains it all; Biglots the funny little American store that sells an assortment of products that don't sell elsewhere.
The cans are mushy, comfortable on the ears and head with the double band, but the sound is mushy, they have a 40 millimeter drivers that pump out bass/treble/mid, clutter with little distinction between where the three are in the sound you are hearing.
Don't buy these from Amazon, but if you want a nice travel set of phones, and live near a big lots, check these out for the low price of ten bucks, they might make your flight, bus ride, walkman etc listening experience just what you need at the price.
I like how they have the swivel action on the driver housing, too bad I'm not a DJ, and too bad they would suck even if I was, because they wouldn't cut it; the pro to it is this, you don't have to take the phones off to hear something said to you, or worth your attention, just flip a side, then re-flip when the distraction is over.
Overall, at the Amazon price, you can find better headphones for a little more; if you already own a decent pair of phones, then hit up Biglots if you want a secondary travel pair for cheap. They are worth the two Lincolns and whatever tax rates local government ads on.
Oh, and another thing, these would make a great gift for someone that doesn't have a nice pair of phones, a child, perhaps a mother, etc, someone that doesn't get too heavily into quality.
Twark Maine strikes his useless info into Amazon again via review. Enjoy searching them out as a gift for someone, or for yourself, peace Amazonian bruthas and sistas.

Lousy sound quality. Jul 06, 2007
By M. Kolesar Some nice touches feature-wise including dual headband, which seems comfortable, and auto retractable cord.
Now for the negatives:
* Cord is very short, as long as is typical for on-the-go portables, not suitable for a full-sized set.
* Sound quality sucks! Sounds muddled, no mids, no highs, just mush. And heavy distortion from one of the drivers.
Pass this one by.
