A great cassette adapter set for an iPhone! Feb 23, 2012 By J. Bair
Worth noting - this was made for the iPod Classic (also called iPod video), but since the 30-pin adapter is universal between iPods and iPhones, it works just fine to charge your iPhone. Also, the cassette works just fine with the headphone jack on the iPhone. Just in case there was any confusion. :) The box says "Made for iPod" and "Works with iPhone".

I picked this up after debating a few sets. The catch for me was:

1. I grabbed this as an Open Box item from Amazon Warehouse - box was beat up, but the items were still sealed and brand new; thus notably cheaper.
2. It came with both the cassette adapter and the charger instead of just the adapter.
3. I've had good luck with Griffin's products in general; even though I find mixed reviews online.

I have to say, I am quite pleased. The charger lights up red when plugged in, and orange while charging the phone. :) A nice little touch. The cassette is crystal clear (surprised me), but did require a little tweaking compared to my preferred settings for the radio. Still, I'm quite pleased with the audio quality - I'm fairly picky, and I am definitely pleased.

I cannot speak to the cup holder, as I already have a vent-based phone cradle. Still, the holder seems like it would work fine, but my cup holders aren't really in a place where it would be easy to use. I'm sure it would work great for someone else.

All in all, a good little set if you can get it for a good price. Sound quality is good and build quality is good as well.
