3Works great BUT...  Feb 10, 2011 By Highstone
I've had this for about 3 weeks. It works great with my iPod Touch v4, sounds great, and the BT telephone link works well. Things I DON'T like about it though, are: the control buttons on the right are too small, labels too small, and the labels don't illuminate at night so you don't know what the heck they do - just numbers 1-6. My biggest negative is that the backlighiting is NOT ADJUSTABLE - Pioneer customer service just told me "that is not a feature on that unit". So, the display and some of the buttons are so bright at night that they are distracting, and it doesn't dim along with the dash lights - so I'm sending the unit back. Too bad Pioneer - what were you thinking???

5Just Bluetooth for my car, that's pretty much all I wanted  Feb 12, 2011 By P. Asta
I wanted a deck that would be able to function as a handsfree bluetooth for phone calls. I didn't care about streaming music or iPhone compatibility. This unit has a remote microphone which I mounted on the instrument panel behind the steering wheel. I sync'd it with an older blackberry (8830). Works great. But it's easier to dial from the phone than the deck. Instruction manual is weak. Otherwise, the audio quality and features are great. front USB and Aux-in. what more do you need?

5Works Great  Aug 20, 2011 By maslifer
The DEH7300BT works great, sounds great, is inexpensive for the quality/features, and all features are fairly simple to learn. A couple of notes however, 1) like most (all?) radio units, it does not seem possible to bluetooth stream music from your phone to the stereo. The Bluetooth is specifically for hands free phone calls. 2) If your iphone does not work with the ipod/iphone cable (sold separately) then update your firmware. There are many features on this unit, and they tried to keep the number of controls reasonable. However, it is easy to accidentally hit the wrong control, and it can be difficult to figure out what you just did. I found the included remote very handy to avoid these problems, since it only contains the most commonly used features.

4good stereo - cannot stream music thru bluetooth  Dec 08, 2011 By wrick
I am pretty happy with the stereo. Sounds clear, plays loud.

My main issue is I thought bluetooth meant phone calls AND music. You cannot stream music thru bluetooth with this stereo. From what I have found, that is a rare option, but can be found in a few stereos.

The buttons are not very intuitive, but when you figure out what they do, it's a good stereo. Works great with an 8gig usb drive. Very happy.

3OK... but falls short  Dec 23, 2011 By Joseph W. Greer III
This could be a good unit but falls short.

I picked this up at a retail store for a Mazda Miata, so I didn't want something double-din or fancy because it's a convertible. I wanted Bluetooth and MP3 capability. The Bluetooth falls short because it does NOT do streaming Bluetooth, only phone.

Pros:

- Sound quality is good
- Install was easy
- Bluetooth Phone function works well and the mic works great
- USB connection is nice

Cons:

- Pain to configure or change settings
- NO BLUETOOTH Steaming Medai (you can't play Pandora or stream audio from your phone to the receiver)
- No Dimmer. Seriously? You've got this big bright blue light beaming in your eyes when it's dark.
- Maybe I'm just picky but an "iPhone" or "iPod" connection? You can connect any audio device to it. How about making the unit Android compatible?

If this did Bluetooth Media Streaming and had a dimmer option/button/anything I would have kept it. I had it for 28 days and returned it. I never thought I would care about a dimmer on a head unit until I was flipping blinded by blue light for an hour on my way home from work. Fail.
