I bought this item a few weeks ago and I have to express my apreciation to a job well done by philips. This under the cabinet ipod dock, besides the obvious reasons, that it saves counter space and keeps clean because it is not ON the counter, it also has all the features that can be found on any other ipod dock, and some that you can't find on any ipod dock, including the many preset stations that is very convenient when I'm busy in the kitchen. The sound is great and you can adjust the sound many different ways. This kitchen clock ipod dock is a definite winner. " 2 Thumbs Up " I recommend this to everyone.

I can't believe how much I LOVE this player. It was a gift from my husband and now when I am in the kitchen, I play my music and think good thoughts of him...This player can be used in many rooms in the house or garage. Don't just limit it to the kitchen. Now I am looking for a 2nd one to install elsewhere. Quality of sound is excellent.

I have had this radio for about a year now. I liked it at first because the sound quality was good, it got my 2nd Generation iPod touch off the counter, and I was able to listen to my music and podcasts while working in the kitchen. However, after using it for about 3 months, I started having some issues. The magnets that hold the ipod dock door closed came off. That took some superglue to put back on, so no big deal. But now it seems that the docking port is wearing down and my ipod will suddenly stop while it is playing. A pain in the butt when you have your hands dirty from working in the kitchen. Also, the sometimes it will charge my ipod while playing (or just docked), but sometimes it gives an error message "Charging not supported with this device" and won't charge it. So, if I dock it for the purpose of charging, I have to make sure that it has accepted it as an authorized device and then check it again multiple times while charging to make sure that it hasn't rejected it. I'm now looking for a different radio. Unfortunately I can't recommend this product if you are looking for something that lasts...

Had to send the first one back it came broken but the second one is working okay. The magnets that hold the cover on the ipod had to be reglued by my husband as they came off and the cover opened all the time. Work in progress. It does what it says. Sound isn't all that great, but hey, its for the kitchen.

I bought this item to replace another under cabinet radio. This was the only one that I found that had an ipod docking station. The first radio that I received was broken, but I didn't notice that until I had already installed it. It was replace fairly quickly and the second one was not perfect either but it was fixable by me so I didn't have it replaced. I like that the ipod dock can either hang down or be pushed backwards to hide it. I think that the sound is fine and have had no problems with it.
