3Ok, but only lasted about 18 months.  Aug 14, 2011 By Flatlander44
When I received my 4th generation Nano it became clear very quickly that I wanted some sort of portable speakers. Thought this device was wonderful the first few months. So handy to move from the kitchen to the bathroom, to the basement, backyard, etc. After awhile I started thinking there had to be better designs.

I used this device daily to listen to podcasts. Kept it plugged in the kitchen and used the AA batteries elsewhere. This thing goes through 4 AAs pretty quickly so I went to rechargeable. Other cons included how the ipod can easily be bumped out of position, having to use the ipod controls for everything except volume, low quality radio, can be tipped over fairly easily. Sound was ok, but nothing to brag about.

Still, it worked well enough that I wasn't going to replace it. Since it looked like a "retro" radio, I figured it would last just as long. Not so. A couple of days ago my ipod wasn't charging and I thought it might time to upgrade to an I-touch. Yesterday the player wouldn't work at all. The player was draining my ipod battery before it quit completly.

Can't figure out why the price differences are so extreme. I've seen these anywhere from $30 to $80.

I'm looking for something different this time.

1does not work  Apr 24, 2010 By K. Mason "Low-tech Mom"
Like another reviewer, we owned this for about 4 months when it stopped playing the iPod music through the speakers. We have a 5th generation iPod Nano that works fine otherwise--so it seems the issue is with the miniMoves. Disappointing.

5Good Speaker system  Nov 14, 2011 By Jessica Hoholik "Mama Hoholik"
I bought this for my youngest child so I could play soothing music while she sleeps through my I pod. It works great! I also used it on our 8 day road trip from Texas to Alaska and only went through 2 sets of batteries which I thought was good. I recommend this player to anyone.

As for another persons comment on the radio quality I think that the radio quality was comparable to any other portable radio.

4Great for the Price  Aug 10, 2011 By T. Monk
Ok. It is not a Bose iPod dock...but for the price it works great. It plays iPod music and AM/FM radio. I connect my iPhone 3GS to it and it will charge my phone and stream Pandora. I think that's pretty good for a cheap radio. I have mine in my 1.5 y/o daughter's playroom, and stream kid's music off Pandora. Sometimes I will put AA batteries in it and take it to the patio as a cordless boombox. It will not charge your device while on battery power but that hasn't been a problem. So for the money it works great.
