Complete Waste of Money May 25, 2010
By Celeste V. My husband bought this from Walmart a couple of weeks ago for our daughter to listen to at night when she is going to sleep. Already the CD player has quit working. Regardless of what disc is put in the player won't read it. So now we have a child who is at this moment upset that she can't fall asleep without her music and we have thrown away our money on this worthless product. I hope others read this warning and don't make the same mistake we did.

major flaw Mar 21, 2010
By C. Cooper Bought it at Walmart. The AC cord (that plugs into the wall outlet) keeps falling out of the boombox !! Not useable. Will return it today.

Cheap Boombox Feb 19, 2010
By Gary L. Jones Bought this item at Wal-Mart, cd player quit working after about a week. The auxiliary jack to connect your MP3 player is a good ideal, but the sound is weak, and radio doesn't pick up well. I will return it and get something different. Not recommended!

Don't Waste Your Money!! Aug 30, 2010
By Margaret White I bought this last November as a Christmas present for my daughter. That means it wasn't even used until late December. The CD player quit working in April. Since there is a 30 day guarantee, I was not allowed to return it for a replacement. When it worked, it performed as well as I had expected. I am distressed that I would have to buy an extended warranty on such a low priced item (as opposed to a major household appliance).
I contacted Memorex and even they would not replace it, rather they said I could pay to have it repaired. Since I'm not in the habit of paying for repairs on items that are hardly used, I choose to find another brand of CD player.
I think Memorex should be embarrassed about the poor performance of their product, but they just treat it as "business as usual". I won't buy that brand again. Save your money, don't buy this one!

Poor Audio Quality & Volume Apr 26, 2010
By Pete
"a certain diciple"
Purchased from Wal-mart, looking for cheep Portable Line-In Boombox. Although I did not expect much sound quality at this price, the Bass boost caused vibrations and speaker buzz even at medium volume, at low volume you couldn't hear it anyway. Design looks cool, and button placement is good, but it doesn't perform much better than un-amplified speakers.
