1Dont risk your media with this  Jan 30, 2010 By Agift Foryou
Never again will I purchase a Memorex product. Yes it is understood that $40 doesn't get you very much quality, but after months of quirky occasional functionality the machine started scuffing up DVDs. So now they can't even be played in the new machine. Money saved wound up being money lost.

Awesome. Thanks Memorex. May the money you saved making such a lousy product yield the same ultimate losing outcome.

1Memorex, never again!  Oct 14, 2011 By chen
I've had two Memorex products--and both have been terrible. They break down, after not even a year of ownership. I'm done with Memorex.

MAIN gripe: the brightness/contrast functions. ( companies should just set good stds. and leave these BE. PERIOD. ANY brand that has these options are horrible to try to use anyway). but to memorex:

1. regular = too dark ( for my needs anyway )
2. bright = so washed everything out it is beyond too bright
3. soft = darker than regular= you can barely see ANYthing on screen at all AND
contrast + or - does absolutely NOTHING to fix the video

remote is too small with too many buttons
so called manual is the now typical piece of paper folded up
that is too confusing in trying to even FIND what you are looking for
in order to work the damn remote anyway.
FEH!
