1Form does not follow function  Feb 23, 2010 By L. Weygand
While the Memorex Loft had some features I desired such as battery backup, duel alarms, and expandable speaker, its drawbacks make it basically unusable as far as I can see. The back light on the display is way too bright even on the dim setting and the number display is very difficult to see even in the best of lighting conditions. Waking up at night and trying to see the display simply blinds you. The control buttons on the front of the unit are too small, and impossible to push without holding the whole unit to keep it from moving. I ended up taking it to work to use for music while I work. It is pretty much useless as a clock radio in the bedroom.

2Poor CD player  Jul 08, 2011 By Stan Laurel
I like the appearance of this player. I play very quiet background music on repeat 24/7. I agree with another review that the backlight is too bright even on the dim setting. Also you have to hold the unit when pushing the front panel buttons. I don't like that when the alarm goes off, it shuts off the CD. The worst part is that after about 7 months, the CD player will no longer play any CDs. It spins for a minute and then displays Error. Not useable.

4Good clock  Mar 04, 2011 By Suzer31
Not a bad CD player/clock radio for my son. Bought it for his birthday because he loves to listen to music as he falls asleep. I like the thin design. He liked that you can detach one speaker to space it out. Only wish it had a sleep button function.

5Worth it  Jul 29, 2010 By newtrose
This was what I was looking for. Small and sleek. The sound is really good.

3Memorex clock radio  Mar 16, 2012 By Julie
Works good enough for our purpose in the bathroom to listen to music getting ready for the day. The clock is hard to see unless you are positioned right in front of it with the lighting.Reception can be a little touchy at times unless you mess around with the wire antenna also. Again it works good enough for the purpose we got it for but would not want it for a main radio of to listen to all the time.
