Perfect solution for connecting my flatscreen TV to my AV receiver Dec 01, 2011 By ocddoc
Needed to hook up a flatscreen TV to my A/V receiver via an existing in-wall RCA cable. Unfortunately, the only AUDIO OUT available on my flatscreen is a 3.5 mm stereo jack. Since I couldn't plug the existing RCA cable directly into my TV, this 6" adapter cable was the perfect solution for my needs and works like a charm. The angled 3.5 mm stereo male end is a nice touch and contributes to an uncluttered look behind my TV.

After the tip of my 3.5mm plug on my crappy radioshack adapter broke off inside of my ipod, I had to go through 2 more adapters (including one very well reviewed on amazon) before I finally got to this one. Out of the 4 RCA -> 3.5mm adapters I've had thus far, this is the only one that locks into the 3.5mm jack properly, so you get a good connection when moving, or even when rotating the plug inside the jack. I use the adapter to connect my ipod to my stereo, and with other adapters, just moving the ipod would break up the connection and make a horrible loud noise. It also has the 90 degree angle which takes stress off of the plug so *hopefully* it will be less likely to break. But overall, this is the highest quality adapter you can get. And, from experience with other Hosa adapters, I am now certain I will stick with them when I need my next audio adapter.

Bought at a good price from JR.com this adapter is a combination of good looks and convenience in that the mini plug is a right angle to help on cable protusion and gravity-related strain. the build quality is very acceptable, not a cheap looking "made in china" type even though there is no guarantee that it is made outside of china (:-(( ... recommended to all if purchased at less than $3 a piece.
