You get LESS than what you pay for... Apr 30, 2012
By 2lazy2lie I know it was cheap and sometimes you get what you pay for but I don't even think I got that with this product. From day one, it didn't work well. Never came in very clear on any station. I did find that switching to a power outlet a little farther away from the dash helped somewhat but was still pretty awful as far as clarity goes. The remote didn't work either even after buying a new battery. I really feel this was not worth the money and would NOT recommend it.
Buy something else, seriously. This is junk. Mar 11, 2011
By TieDyeJedi First things first: This doesn't come with very legible instructions. The instructions are in broken English and you should be able to figure out how to plug it in and attach it to your MP3 player even without them. However, it's not clear on how to really use the damn thing beyond that.
Second, if you planned on actually using the included remote, forget it. Either the battery is dead or it doesn't work at all, and it runs on a watch battery so you'll probably do like I did and say 'F getting a watch battery, I'll just do it manually.'
Third, it doesn't actually recognize that my Sansa Clip+ is plugged in. It does transmit and 'work' but the screen only shows an error that no device is connected. Occasionally it'll switch to just saying "Hello."
Fourth, it doesn't come in clear on ANY station. I cycled through EVERY SINGLE FM frequency looking for one where it'd come in clear. My Griffin FM transmitter for my old iPod worked on several stations in this area, so I know it's not because there aren't any clear channels available. This crappy thing has static and fuzz in the background no matter what you tune it to.
Fifth, keep in mind that this thing is NOT also a charger. It isn't advertised as such, but the ones that ACTUALLY WORK will also charge your player, which is much better.
All in all, I'm keeping it because I hate returning things. I will get a replacement soon though. Don't buy this thing. Spend the extra money and get something that actually works.
