Not bad for the cost. Dec 01, 2010
By Chris I bought this product months back and have been mostly pleased with it's performance. I had purchased it for a T-Mobile G1, but have recently upgraded to the Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S), and have had zero problems with the transition. The music quality is what you would expect from a FM transmitter; Good in some areas, not so good in others. Radio interference seems fairly rare though. As far as the quality of the product, it feels kind of cheap, but that's what I had expected for the price. It has held in place in my cigarette plug-in perfectly and I have never had an issue of it moving around or bouncing out. The neck gives you some nice options on directions you want it to face depending on the setup of your vehicle, and the cradle holds my phone tight and secure. Again, I haven't had a single problem with the hardware at all over six months of use. Using the phone-call through the car speakers feature has never worked for me, but my car is kind of loud so that is no surprise. I never really had any intention of using that feature anyway, but someone else might.
All in all, I find it incredibly convenient to be able to charge my phone, play music (from my SD card or via Pandora), use the GPS features of the phone, and have it all be hands free. Radio Shack and Best Buy charge upwards of $50 for similar products, so I'd certainly recommend saving some cash and going with this device or something similar.

Disappointed Oct 09, 2010
By drlaf I bought the product to use with my Blackberry Curve 8350i phone. I wanted to utilize the hands free feature so that when I am using my GPS I can observe the map feature without holding my phone in one hand and driving with the other. I was also interested in utilizing the radio feature on this product.
Upon receiving the product I discovered that the phone jack was a 3.5mm type. My phone has a 2.5mm jack. I then had to order an adapter. Once I got it I discovered another problem with the unit. The phone jack doesn't quite match up inside the phone. If I inserted it all the way into my phone the signal to my car radio was only a buzzing sound. I had to gently maneuver the phone jack in and out to find the right position to transmit my audio from phone to car radio. Then in the process of making this adjustment it would cause my Blackberry to lock up. I would have to remove my phone battery and reinsert it to get my phone to reboot.
I resigned myself to the fact that I could not use this product to listen to my phone through my car radio. I was still interested in using it as a phone cradle and its cigarette lighter phone charging feature. Last weekend I took a trip in my Ford Explorer hoping to try out my new phone cradle. I got my second disappointment. Once on the road the road vibrations cause the cradle to spin from and upright position to an upside down position dumping my Blackberry out of the cradle. I guess in order to make this work properly I'll need to zip tie it to the dashboard to make it stay in an upright position.
The charging feature of the product works fine.
I am not sure I would recommend this product for those who have a Blackberry Curve 8350i phone and a Ford Explorer. As for me it was a waste of money.

Inadequate Oct 18, 2010

I own one of the old Blackberry Pearl set. I cannot use this Hands Free Set since the jack at the end of the audio cable which connects to the head phone outlet is too big. When I ordered it, your Product Details said that it could be used with Pearl, Bold etc.

Great Phone Holder Feb 03, 2011
By GameKid This device has a lot of options in it. It can charge your device through a USB port, play music or make phone calls through the FM transmitter 3.5mm stereo headset plug in, and best of all it holds your phone. I mostly just use this device to hold my Nexus One phone, it has an adjustable side that spreads or closes depending on your device. Being that this is made for Blackberry, thicker phones are more ideal for this product. It fits sturdy and will never move and can be well adjusted. For the audio quality, that depends on your speakers really, it plays through the radio. Last is the phone charger; you can connect your phone to the device through a USB cord. It works well but dont expect a lot of juice to recharge your phone. It's a good product, especially for the price i paid.

False avertisement Jul 29, 2011
By Kayla When I received the product I tested it out with my blackberry because the picture shows it holding a blackberry and that is why I got it. But my blackberry does not fit into the holding area, and I was not happy.
