Nice Marine stereo head unit Apr 07, 2010
By captain crunch Purchased this product to replace a Sony head that didn't have be base sound I was looking for and also to get the IPOD Touch connection. Unit sounds great, easy to operate and the remote works ok for line of sight use. The reason I gave it a 4 is that I wish the Ipod hook up was in the front instead of the back of the unit. I ended up running another USB cable from the back to a front panel I had to cut and mount. I also attempted to buy the adapter for XM and install on this, but, gave up when the programming didn't work etc. Took the XM box stuff back and purchased a Serius box, which plugged straight in and works great.

Fantastic Unit! Aug 28, 2009
By Sonny Crockett

The receiver works great and sounds fantastic... The USB port hooks into your iPod without a problem and automatically picks up that it's there. You can also control your iPod with the wireless remote which makes life a lot easier if you're across your boat. Everybody who has had a chance to play with the unit has loved it. Overall a fantastic buy for the money.

Good But Not to my Necessity! Sep 14, 2009
By Cesar Zanchet I like clarion products,
All my car DVD's are from clarion, and they sound and look good!
But I recently purchased this item for my boat, I hate to bring the cd boxes and I like to use the ipod to listen to various genres of sounds.
The only problem is, every Ipod I connect on the unit it does not read the ipod functions....
None of them, including the iphone.
And the clarion support is terrible, you can't leave questions on the website, and only the dealer can answer the questions, some of them told me to buy ccipod cable that I would have no more trouble..
I did, and still am waiting for the functions to be read by the unit..
Didn't work for me....
Very CHEAP Radio Apr 30, 2012
By TJK Technically this radio works as advertised. However, the sound quality is rather poor at any reasonable volume level for a boat environment being outside with wind. Also very little audio adjustability. Just Bass, Treble, Balance, and Fader.
Again, a very CHEAP radio to carry to Clarion Name.
NOT Impressed, but it does technically work.
Boat stereo - mostly good Dec 06, 2011
By New Reviewer I purchased this unit for use in my boat. I installed it myself, which took some wires, splicers, and a little bit of electrical know-how.
The sound quality of the unit is great. No complaints.
My one complaint is that the user interface is ridiculously difficult to learn. There are a number of buttons with acronyms that seem to have no connection to what they actually do. Also, moving through folders on your ipod is very cumbersome and also needlessly complicated. There are easier stereos to use, I am sure.
Overall, good functioning product, but there is a steep learning curve.
