By Media Man I picked these up at a chain discount retailer for only $3.00 on clearance. Normally I always have problems with the cord length of most cheap ear buds, it's always too short. You plug them into your desktop computer and you can barely move away. You plug them into your mp3 player, put it in your pocket and the buds practically pop out if you try to turn your head. These ear buds had a few extra inches of cord giving you more freedom of movement when using them. The plug end is your standard iPod jack facing upwards.
Pros
+ Slightly longer cord than most other ear buds (roughly 44" or 3.8 feet from ear bud to jack)
+ Ear buds themselves are contoured and made of a less smooth plastic which causes them to rest more firmly in your ear (package stated that they're "great for smaller ears" but personally I don't see a difference)
+ Nice basic black and gray color combination won't show wear like white iPod styles
+ Sound quality is on par with any other $10-$15 ear buds that are out there. Not great but acceptable for the price
Cons
- Don't really care for the ME logo on the side. Also, compared to other earbuds of the same style, mine appear to be labelled incorrectly with the L and R being reversed. Only cons if these sorts of things really matter to you visually.
- Right earbud speaker shorted out after only 4 months.
All in all they were decent little ear buds, especially for the price. The slightly longer cord and okay sound quality satisfied me. I also like the fact that they fit a bit more comfortably in my ears without actually being inserted into the ear canal. If you're looking for a cheap pair ear buds and not an obsessed audiophile these do the job just fine however don't expect them to last very long.
