A Good Fix Jul 24, 2010
By Joe This screen worked as well as I could have hoped. It was fairly easy to install (with the aid of a YouTube video) [...]. I was worried that I might damage the screen while installing it. My fears were put to rest when I noticed that it had a pretty thick protective film on it to be removed prior to installing the digitizer (glass top). This was a good, inexpensive fix.

So worth the diy project in order to save 90 bucks Dec 23, 2010
By razgrizchris24 This product is amazing! When I saw that it cost up to $99 at some places to replace my itouch's lcd screen due to the backlight dying, I took it upon myself to fix it myself. For less than $15 I was able to replace my screen and make my itouch work like new again. Love this screen for saving my itouch!!! There are several videos online showing you how to fix it and honestly the hardest part was just getting the digitizer off (first step), after that it was a breeze to fix.

It's alright Nov 24, 2010
By Joshua Baranski I needed an LCD because I wasn't careful when reparing mine and cracked the original, so I got this. I won't say it was a mistake, because now my iPod works again, but it's not as good as the original screen. There is a noticable distortion if you were to move the ipod up and down. I think it has to do with the refresh rate of the lcd. Either way, it's there, but this is still good if you can ignore that.

Worked Great! Dec 15, 2011
By zeezee I had the 8gb ipod touch which had a cracked screen....of course I messed up the LCD during the taking out of the old screen and had to order this. This came with awesome tools and worked perfectly. I just followed the instructions on the youtube video and had no problem replacing the LCD. I don't have any issues with it. Seems to work fine. :)

Worth the time and money! Feb 12, 2012
By MomOfAFlock My son had an ipod 2nd generation with a cracked screen and a slightly marred lcd under it. After watching a YouTube video on self repair, I ordered the screen and this lcd from Amazon, and am SO glad I did! He basically has a new ipod, for less than $30. I did learn that it isn't as easy as the video makes it look. The safe pry tools that come with the lcd look just like the ones in the how-to video on YouTube, but do not work as well in reality. The beveled plastic pry tool tended to just shear off as I tried to pry up the old screen. But there was also included a 3 cornered pry tool, similar to a thick guitar pick, that worked wonderfully to pop up the old screen. I would recommend this replacement lcd to anyone with a steady hand and nerves. Caution, though--if you nick, bump, or squeeze the lcd during replacement, you will have to order another and start over (learned the hard way.)
